Locals can lend a hand with weeding garden areas at the side of the Rail Trail tonight (Monday January 30).
Not for profit organisation Keep Alexandra Clyde Beautiful (KACB) is holding the working bee from 6.30 - 8.00pm.
Organiser Mary Ann Baxter said you’ll need to bring gardening gloves, sturdy shoes, a drink bottle and your own hand tools and buckets.
If you’re keen to help out with the weeding and general tidy up, the meeting point is on the Rail Trail at Tarbert St (opposite Little Valley Rd).
For more information contact Mary on 021 253 0803.
The group regularly organises community clean ups, planting, maintenance and beautification projects in Alexandra and Clyde.
KACB recently commissioned artist Jordan Turner to paint the new mural on Centennial Ave.
