Great news for Omakau and Ophir residents:

As of 12 noon yesterday (Monday 1 August 2022) the Boil Water Notice was lifted.

Council had three days’ consecutive water quality samples that indicate the water is safe to drink from the tap.

Those with storage tanks should consider flushing them to enable clean water into their systems.
