Early bird tickets for the Alexandra Blossom Festival are now available, offering locals a chance to secure their spot and skip the queues on event day.

Locals tickets, also known as early bird tickets, are on sale around Alexandra and Clyde in local shops, banks, and dairies until September 26.  

Tickets will also be available from Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery and Alexandra Community House.

Local’s tickets are $6 each and children under five years old are free.

Out of town visitors can get their tickets at the gates to Pioneer Park for $10 with children under five free as well.

Blossom Festival event manager Martin McPherson said community was at the heart of the festival so making early bird tickets available to Central Otago locals made sense.

“We want to make sure as many locals as possible get the opportunity to join us to celebrate the 67th Alexandra Blossom Festival," he said.

“Don’t wait until the day to get your tickets, get them now and avoid the queues.’’
