Aurora Energy sent a letter via email to Clyde residents on May 6 apologising for the recent unplanned outages impacting the area.
The letter explains what the company is doing to investigate these incidents along with the process that needs to occur before power can be turned back on.
Aurora Energy chief executive Richard Fletcher said in the letter, until the precise source of these faults is located and a permanent solution to fix them is found, there is a chance that the intermittent fault and further unplanned outages may reoccur.
"Please know we are working hard to remedy this so we can provide you with more reassurance around the reliability of supply in this area.
Thank you for your patience while we work to get this sorted; we know it is inconvenient to have the power go out, even if the power is restored reasonably quickly, especially now the weather is getting cooler," Richard said.
Residents were reminded of the major work underway in the Clyde area as well including network replacement and enhancement.
"This programme, which extends over the next four years, consists of six separate projects (two have already been completed) together at an investment cost of $20m. The projects will provide additional security of supply to customers in the area," Richard said.
Unplanned power outages were experienced in Clyde on May 1 and May 4 and also in Omakau on May 4.
Lisa Gloag, customer and engagement manager from Aurora Energy said customers who they didn't have email addresses for should receive the letter in the post.
