Hundreds of residents across Central have turned out to commemorate the sacrifices of the ANZACS this morning at several services.
Many have had to watch through the eyes of others, due to being in isolation or close contacts of locals with Covid-19 alpha and delta variants.
Wreaths were laid at Cenotaphs and red poppies proudly adorned jackets of both young and old.
Ceremonies took place in Alexandra, Clyde, Omakau, Cromwell, Millers Flat, Roxburgh, Ranfurly and Kyeburn this year with numbers slightly down on previous years due to COVID-19.

The ceremony was abbreviated from normal, but wreaths were laid and the last post played. Bagpipers played before and after the ceremony in Alexandra.
The date marks the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand soldiers on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey in 1915.
Thousands lost their lives during the Gallipoli campaign: 87,000 Ottoman Turks, 44,000 men from France and the British Empire, including 8500 Australians.
According to nzhistory.govt.nz among the dead were 2779 New Zealanders, about one in six of those who served on Gallipoli.
