In a highly anticipated Central Otago Premier Rugby Competition match, the Alexandra Armadillos will take on Cromwell Cavaliers at Molyneux Park tonight at 7.30pm. 

The matchup will be made all the better played under light, with Porter Hire as game sponsor, providing extra lights. 

Alexandra Rugby Football Club Captain Marty Randall says supporters should come along to enjoy and experience a night game in Alex. 

“We are playing tonight because some players from both teams are away duck-shooting on Saturday. 

“All teams get a lift from crowd support. 

“Seeing and hearing crowds cheering you along is great for your spirit. 

“Greeting and talking to supporters after games and getting advice, good or bad, is great for team morale.

“This will be our first and only night game this season. Our club is in great spirits this season  with good player numbers which means more people watching.

“The whole team is fizzing.”

Kickoff is 7.30pm at the back field at Molyneux Park.
