About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson / Control Room 2IC to join the dynamic team at Trents Alexandra.


You’ll play a key role in supporting the Warehouse Supervisor and Control Room Coordinator in the day-to-day operations by maximising efficient planning, loading and delivery of orders, effective oversight of the delivery fleet and supporting the management of control room functions.


You’ll be instrumental in maximising opportunities by ensuring order schedules are met, orders are picked accurately, and inventory is received and put away correctly.


The hours for this role are 2:00pm – 10:30pm, Sunday – Thursday, 40 hours per week.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring effective and timely processing of orders for invoicing and consignment
  • Accurately picking stock, replenishing pick face stock, checking inwards goods orders
  • Supporting the monitoring of the control room function to ensure the best deployment of resources.
  • Coordinating assistance from staff from across the site to ensure all shifts meet their deadlines
  • Working with the wider warehouse team to ensure all site compliance and health & safety measures are followed
  • Providing and modelling excellent service to our customers, going above and beyond to ensure our service level objectives are met and exceeded


Key requirements include:

  • Experience in warehousing/logistics or a similar environment
  • A good level of fitness to manage the physical requirements of the role
  • Customer service experience and proven communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail
  • A forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
  • Computer skills, knowledge of fleet management, WMS and SAP systems and experience with a Food Safety programme are preferred but not essential
