About the role

This is a great role offering a variety of duties from setting up the orchard blocks before a harvest crew enters, assigning trees to the harvest crews, weighing/scanning buckets, field quality checks, checking trees, loading trailers, clearing blocks after harvest crews have been through, assisting with irrigation and transporting fruit to and from the packhouse.

The orchard assistant position will start as soon as possible and work goes through until the completion of the cherry export season which is generally late January/early February.

About you

• You will need to have good communication skills and excellent attention to detail, and a good level of fitness.
• Experience with quad bikes / 4 WD or motorbikes would be an advantage, if you have experience with backing trailers and staff supervision that would be a bonus.
• You’ll be someone who enjoys working outside and enjoys being part of a team.
• You're self-motivated and you have a positive can-do attitude and it goes without saying you’re reliable and punctual and will always get the job done.
