We are seeking a caring and motivated Teacher Aide to join our supportive and collaborative team at St Gerard’s School, a Catholic primary school located in the heart of Alexandra.

With a roll of approximately 165 pupils, we pride ourselves on nurturing the whole child – spiritually, academically, and emotionally – in a warm, faith-based environment. 

About the Role: 

• Position: Fixed Term Teacher Aide 
• Hours: 20 hours per week 
• Start Date: 14th July 2025 
• End Date: End of Term 4, 2025 (with the possibility of extension into 2026)

This role involves supporting students in their learning journey both inside and outside the classroom.

You will work closely with classroom teachers to provide individual and small group support across a range of learning areas. 

What We’re Looking For: 

While prior experience in a similar role is an advantage, it is not essential. More important is a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

We’re looking for someone who embodies the core skills of an effective teacher aide: listening, patience, empathy, encouragement, and resilience.
