Pioneer Energy Renewables is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to manage a dynamic team and oversee a portfolio of projects across our diverse renewable energy asset base.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, usually worked Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.

The Role

As the Engineering Team Leader, you will lead the development and management of operational projects across our renewable energy assets.

You will be responsible for ensuring project success through excellent project management and a strong engineering background.

Based in Alexandra, Central Otago (preferred), or Christchurch, the Engineering Team Leader will:

• Lead and Manage: Oversee a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Project Portfolio Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery across hydro stations, wind farms, and boilers, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Provide Technical Guidance: Solve complex engineering challenges and support your team with strong technical expertise.
• Engage Stakeholders: Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and community groups, acting as the main point of contact.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and performance, staying updated with industry trends.
• Ensure Safety and Sustainability: Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
