Pioneer Energy Renewables is seeking a Team Supervisor to oversee a team of electrical and generation technicians to join our team based in Alexandra, Central Otago.

The Job

Our company has a strong team of trade specialists, providing knowledge and support to maintain and operate our existing assets.


We are looking for a Team Supervisor to coordinate operations and maintenance across multiple sites within Central Otago, support team development, and ensure the highest

standards of performance and safety.


You will have good planning and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively deal with a range of challenges.


Your commitment to ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety, environmental and quality management whilst completing your tasks will be a strength.


Your work will be in a range of different environments that will possibly extend your knowledge and experience.


This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, usually worked Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical and generation technicians, ensuring effective communication and training.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance across multiple sites, including resource management and incident response.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage project and contract development, monitoring targets and risk management.
  • Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are met, actively managing and reporting hazards

To successfully secure this opportunity you must have:


  • Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in team leadership or supervision.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high standards of Health & Safety.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and manuals.
  • Self-motivated, fit, and active, with a current driver's license and willingness to participate in an 'On Call' roster.
