About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated person to undertake inspections of the overhead line assets for our high performing Central Otago team. The role is based in Alexandra.

Reporting to the Inspection Team Leader – Overhead Lines, the Pole Inspector role involves conducting inspections and vigorous testing as per policy documents, and using tablets to complete inspection reports.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Experience with mechanical-hands on work;

Basic computer skills;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

The ability to plan own work and work independently.

Be physically fit, as walking distances and carrying test equipment is required.


The ideal applicants will also have:

Experience in the electrical distribution industry;

A mechanical engineering qualification; and/or

NCEA Level 2 Physics.


We will provide immediate training to support you in your role, and ongoing training may be offered for future progression within Delta.

To be successful in the role you will possess a good work ethic and a well organised approach with good interpersonal skills and customer awareness. You will also have strong attention to detail and a demonstrated Health and Safety focus.
