We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time fixed term Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Cromwell office from mid-October 2023 for 6 months.

We are looking for a full time Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Cromwell office team in support of both our power and communications and Greenspace business units. No two days are the same in this fast paced, dynamic, and varied role. To be successful in this role you will need to be curious, have excellent listening and investigative skills as well as a proven ability to quickly build strong relationships, both internally and externally.
You will be operational across a wide geographical area covering Cromwell, Alexandra, Wanaka, Queenstown and the wider Central Otago Region, visiting a variety of sites in support of our Power & Communication Services and Greenspace operations. Ideally, you will have experience working in a similar industry however the ‘person’ is far more important to us. We want you to have your boots firmly planted on the ground, know how to support our people in the field and encourage the flow of information between operations and management. Notwithstanding the above, you will be comfortable working autonomously, organised, pro-active and measured in your approach.
Skills and experience needed to succeed:
• Essential: Current full (and clean) Class 1 driver’s licence
• Demonstrated experience in H&S at coordinator or advisory level
• Ability to lead H&S initiatives through to successful implementation
• Good base level of information processing, analytical, writing and computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to author reports, training and other documents that are well structured and appropriate for the intended audience. What’s on offer:
