About Connetics

Connetics is a multi-disciplined, multi-regional electrical design, construction, and maintenance business delivering electrical infrastructure assets for customers throughout Aotearoa.

Connetics operates in Christchurch, Wellington and Central Otago and we're responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines and equipment across these locations. About the role

The Cromwell team are seeking skilled Civil Labourers to join our expanding team for an immediate start. If you are a Civil Labourer with wheels tracks and rollers, a Class 2 licence and experience working around heavy machinery and excavation sites, we have a range of opportunities available.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting our Field Teams to deliver projects to support the electricity distribution networks in and around Central Otago.

Duties include the following:

* Preparation and maintenance of a safe and clean work environment

* Safe operation of power tools and machinery

* Transportation of materials to and from sites

* Excavations relating to installation of power poles and cabling (training provided)

* Assisting with installation of cables, electrical equipment foundations and ducting

* Site clean-up duties

Covering wide-ranging terrain and varied electricity distribution infrastructure sites, this role is a great opportunity for a positive, motived person, with plenty of unique and interesting project work.

Full training will be given to the successful candidates.

About you

Essential:

* Current and valid Class 1 driver's licence (minimum)

* Demonstrates a safety mindset and understanding of high-risk industry

* Ability to work calmly under pressure and communicate well

* Is physically fit and willing to work in varied weather conditions

Desirable:

* Relevant industry experience with some experience in trenching, plant operation and cable laying

* Experience working around electrical infrastructure

* Class 2 HV Licence
