We are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join our supportive Southern team!

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About the role


Working collaboratively within the Substation Crew and across the Southern Regional Field Team, this position carries out electrical substation construction and maintenance tasks. This role may require travel outside the immediate region for emergency assistance in other areas, and training and development purposes.


Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako - Skills/experience


Essential:


- Registered Electrician with current practicing licence

- Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Electrical)

- Demonstrable experience in construction and maintenance of HV equipment and an understanding of network protection is required

- Experience reading and interpreting utility plans

- Relevant network certifications

- Current and valid driver's licence


Desirable:


- Attainment or study towards Level 5 Qualification in Electrical Supply (Electrical) or equivalent

- Class 2 heavy traffic licence

- Forklift licence

Rates/Hours of work:


- Base hourly rates from: $39.78 to $45.09 plus allowances and overtime

- Minimum of 40 hours per week
