- Desired Skills and Experience
In This Role You Will:
- Support the delivery and monitoring of Council’s waste and recycling contracts
- Be the first point of contact for service requests, public queries, and contractor liaison
- Collect, manage, and report on waste data to support continuous improvement
- Maintain records and databases including weighbridge, kerbside bins, and contamination reports
- Assist with invoice processing and account reconciliation for waste services
- Contribute to waste minimisation campaigns and community engagement initiatives
- Help deliver the maintenance programme and data reporting for closed landfill sites
- Provide administrative support and maintain service maps and documentation
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Bring:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in waste management or a related science field would be an advantage
- Confidence in data entry, reporting, and use of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work across teams and with external contractors
- A current full driver’s licence
