Dunstan Hospital is a rural trust hospital based in Clyde, Central Otago. We have exciting opportunities for registered nurses to secure a role on our highly impressive ward where you will receive the best rural healthcare experience ever. We provide a wide range of healthcare services for a large geographical area, two and half hours from our base hospital in Dunedin.
We are offering opportunities for registered nurses to join our wonderful nursing team in the acute inpatient area. Our ward comprises 24 beds, including a 3 bed High Dependency Unit. We provide acute medical care, trauma/emergency medical care (no walk in ED) rehabilitation and palliative care throughout the age spectrum. You will work closely with the medical team and all members of the wider multidisciplinary team.
Our ward nurses must be available to work rostered shifts on variable days including the on-call roster. We are looking for a 0.8 FTE permanent position but will consider other hours of offer.
We are looking for nurses who:
- Are registered with the Nursing Council for New Zealand / Australia
- Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate - we will consider Internationally Qualified Nurses on a NZ CAP Competency Assessment Program
- Have had recent acute nursing experience.
- Are self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic both in service delivery and professional development.
- Are genuine and committed team players.
- Are eligible to work in New Zealand.
