About the Opportunity

Due to the imminent retirement of our much-respected Director of Nursing, Central Otago Health Services Limited has an opportunity for the right individual.

You will join a well-established executive team, striving for excellence in rural health care, with an emphasis on collegiality and adaptability.

You will lead a team of hardworking nursing and care associate staff.

Your span will include our Vincent Ward; the District Nursing Service; the newly established nurse overnight service in Wānaka; the team responsible for patient transport; and a group of Senior Nurses responsible for Infection Prevention and Control, Diabetes and Education.

About Us

Dunstan Hospital is a 24-bed rural hospital located in Clyde, Central Otago, run by Central Otago Health Services Limited.

Clinical services at Dunstan Hospital include acute 24-hour acute assessment, 24 bed rural medicine inpatients, rehabilitation and palliative care, plus a 3-bed high dependency unit.

Several outpatient services (including chemotherapy, endoscopy, and day surgery with Mobile Surgical Services) plus community services complete our offering.

We are supported by Health New Zealand Southern and work closely with local General Practitioners to care for a community of 40,000 people. Our hospital services a large area including Roxburgh, Alexandra, Cromwell, and Wanaka.
