The position will work with a collaborative team to supply safe drinking water, and collect and treat wastewater and stormwater, in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner. 

The role will have responsibility for management of operations, maintenance and renewals of our 15 water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations across the district.


The person will hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or have relevant experience, however, the key attribute will be enthusiasm and willingness to work in a team environment.


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with waste water and water treatment plant operations
  • Experience in forwards works programming
  • Have or be working towards wastewater/water qualification
  • Hold a New Zealand Drivers License
  • Have strong organisational skills.
  • Be flexible, adaptable and enjoy a challenge
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team and to deadlines.
