Desired Skills and Experience
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop a high-functioning team that delivers quality outcomes to the community.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental management, science, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Technical knowledge of residual waste disposal, recycling processes, and waste minimisation practices.
- An understanding of environmental issues associated with solid waste, waste minimisation principles, and waste management concepts.
- Contract management experience.
- Experience in financial monitoring and reporting, with the ability to understand and work within budgets.
- A strong customer service focus.
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Well-organised and consistent in setting, prioritising, and meeting deadlines.
