Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop a high-functioning team that delivers quality outcomes to the community.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental management, science, or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical knowledge of residual waste disposal, recycling processes, and waste minimisation practices.
  • An understanding of environmental issues associated with solid waste, waste minimisation principles, and waste management concepts.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Experience in financial monitoring and reporting, with the ability to understand and work within budgets.
  • A strong customer service focus.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-organised and consistent in setting, prioritising, and meeting deadlines.
