As a Land Development Engineer, you will work closely with our infrastructure and planning teams to provide sustainable development solutions.


We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic team player who is passionate about supporting sustainable development in Central Otago.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support land development, including engineering assessments, design reviews, and site inspections.
  • Provide expertise in land development processes and construction, ensuring development related infrastructure meets Council requirements and applicable engineering standards.
  • Assist in resource management planning processes including preparing resource consent conditions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively.
  • Take ownership of challenges and find solutions with minimal supervision.


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Natural Resource Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in construction design or supervision.
  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well organised and consistent in setting, prioritising, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in subdivision engineering an advantage.


This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary dependent on skills, experience, and performance.
