We have an exciting opportunity for an administrative guru to join our Regulatory Services Team as our Regulatory Support – Building on a full-time basis based in Cromwell.

Reporting to the Regulatory Support Team Leader - Building, you will be responsible for providing day to day support to our Building Control Officers by being the first point of contact for building related matters, booking inspections and processing of building consents.


This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy and attention to detail.

As the successful applicant you will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an administrative role
  • experience in local government would be an advantage but not essential
  • strong customer service and the ability to build relationships
  • high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • sound analytical, practical and report writing skills.
  • the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines
