We have an opportunity for a Property Management Officer to join our Property and Facilities team on a permanent part-time basis 20 hours - salary paid pro-rata. This position is based in Ranfurly and services the Maniototo district.

You will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of Council’s buildings and land, such as Council offices, community halls, pavilions, elderly person housing and Council grounds.

This position would suit a tradesperson wanting only part time work or a person with strong DIY skills.

Desired Skills and Experience

As the successful applicant you will have:

• Strong experience in building maintenance – likely a ‘Jack or Jill of all trades’
• Experience in building structures, building materials and general maintenance skills
• A variety of construction knowledge such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people at various levels
• Proven relationship building experience and a team player
• Good record keeping skills, well-organised and committed to providing excellent service
• Full NZ Drivers License
