In this role, you will be responsible for researching, investigating, and compiling PIMs within statutory timeframes, ensuring accurate and timely processing. You will work closely with both the Planning and Building Control teams, providing key support and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and compile property information for PIMs, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Retrieve data from Council systems, GIS, District Plans, and building files.
- Respond to external inquiries and provide timely and professional customer service.
- Support the Planning team with customer inquiries when needed.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within internal timeframes and legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and manage filing systems (electronic and paper-based).
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A relevant industry related tertiary qualification is desirable.
- Experience in an administrative or government-related role, preferably in planning or building.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Sound analytical, practical and report writing skills.
- Able to read and interpret the District Plan and the Resource Management Act 1991, Building Act 2004, and other legislation.
- Strong customer service and the ability to build relationships.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A demonstrated sense of urgency to meet legislative deadlines.
