We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Support Officer to join our planning team on a full-time basis, based in Alexandra.

You will be responsible for providing administrative planning assistance to the planning team on a daily basis, as well as undertaking Governance duties for all Hearings Panel and Commissioner hearings to ensure a seamless process with exceptional customer service.


This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy and attention to detail.


The salary is $50,000 to $60,000 per annum.


As the successful applicant you will have:

  • a diploma level or higher in Business studies, or a similar qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in an administrative role
  • experience in local government would be an advantage but not essential
  • strong customer service and the ability to build relationships
  • high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines
