As our Library Learning Coordinator, you will:
- Create, plan, and deliver engaging library programmes for children, youth, adults, newcomers, and seniors.
- Support our smaller libraries with programme planning and ideas.
- Assess current programmes to ensure they meet the needs of our community.
- Apply for grants to support events and programming.
- Carry out frontline library duties as part of the Alexandra team.
- Build strong relationships with community groups, partners, and stakeholders.
Hours are Mon- Friday with a rostered Saturday and availability to run library events or activities outside of normal hours is a must.
You’ll be part of a friendly, committed library team and play an important role in bringing people together through lifelong learning and connection.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, outgoing, creative, and community focused.
- Confident speaking to groups and delivering activities for a wide age range.
- Experienced in customer service or community-facing roles.
- Skilled with online tools and technology.
- Able to plan, organise, and lead projects from idea to delivery.
- A strong communicator — both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Innovative and able to think outside the box.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A qualification in a related area.
- Experience delivering events, programmes, or activities.
- Experience applying for grants (an advantage).
- A current full driver licence.
