As a Graduate Asset Engineer, you will work closely with our roading and larger infrastructure teams to provide roading asset solutions.


With a career path in roading engineering and asset management we are looking for a driven, enthusiastic team player who is passionate about supporting the growth of Central Otago.


This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary dependent on skills, experience, and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Council’s road asset management including data collection and asset inspection
  • Assist with contract claim reporting and analysis
  • Assist with Council’s streetlight network management
  • Assist the Roading operations team with engineering solutions
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively
  • Take ownership of challenges and find solutions with minimal supervision


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Preferably a tertiary qualification in engineering or science
  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to learn and develop in the engineering field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organised and consistent in setting, prioritising, and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in activity management plans an advantage
