We currently have a full-time position available within our Building Control team based in Cromwell.

We are looking for a Building Control Officer who is currently working in the Building Control environment is looking for a change of scenery in beautiful Central Otago.


Responsibilities:

• The role is responsible for both processing and inspections and would be part of a skilled building team with exceptional administrative support.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A professional qualification in the building industry at a minimum level of one or more of the following is required:

o Diploma in Building Surveying

o Diploma in Construction Management

o Diploma in Construction

o Diploma in Quantity Surveying

o Diploma in Architectural Draughting

o Diploma in Architectural Technology.

o Bachelor of Applied Technology – Building

o Batchelor of Architecture

o Batchelor of Architectural Studies

o Bachelor of Building Science

o Bachelor of Construction

o Bachelor of Engineering

  • Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge with a desire to work collaboratively to achieve the right outcomes
  • Have a good working knowledge of current building code and legislation
  • Significant experience in building control functions including plan processing and inspections (preferred but not essential)
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
