On Friday February 27, 2026, peacefully with family by his side, at Ranui Home and Hospital, Alexandra; aged 73 years.

Loved husband of Paulette, loved Dad and father-in-law of Emma and Karl, Aaron and Jo, and Glenn and Lauren, loved Poppa of Ben; Ayson, Alia, and Hunter; Ava, Dani, Lyla, and Mitchell.

Loved son of Melody* and Robert* Watson. Loved son-in-law of Margaret* and Charles* Chittock. Loved by all the Watson and Chittock families, loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Family thank the staff of Ranui for their dedicated care and support. Stu was a friend of many and will be sorely missed.

“A trapped body released”

A celebration of Stu’s life will be held in the Alexandra Bowling Club, 2 Poole Road, Molyneux Park at 2pm on Friday 6th March.

The service can be live-streamed at www.affinityfunerals.co.nz. In lieu of flowers donations to Ranui Home and Hospital would be appreciated, and may be left at the service.
