At The Terrace School, Te Kura O Papataitaha, children are nurtured, challenged and inspired to live through the vision of caring among connected learners enriching their place and are encouraged to be connected to their whanau, to their place, to their peers, to who they are, and to their learning.

The values of Respect, Acceptance, Integrity, Success and Enjoyment fuel the environment whilst having a strong emphasis on sporting programmes and exploring the opportunities that the local environment provides in learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. 

Parents have high expectations of their children in which their learning is supported by low class sizes, high quality teaching, well resourced classrooms, Specialist Learning Support staff and a specialist Technology Centre on site, catering to year 7&8 students from across the district. A proactive PTA supports the school with both fundraising and community events.
