Balustrades & Pool Fences

Metro's frameless glass balustrades offer a contemporary and sleek aesthetic, enabling you to enjoy uninterrupted views while also providing a safety barrier for stairs, decks, balconies and pools.

Shower Glass

Our shower glass is custom made to suit your bathroom layout. Whether your shower requires hinged or sliding doors, angled panels or notch cut-outs, we deliver the best solution. Shower hardware can be matched to your other bathroom fittings and decor.

Splashbacks

One of the key benefits of our glass splashbacks is that they are very easy to clean, unlike textured tiles. They also add colour and creativity to your kitchen, whilst reflecting light to make a room feel larger and brighter. You may think glass is not the best material for a hot place like a kitchen. However, that’s far from truth. In fact, toughened glass is one of the most suitable materials to serve as your kitchen’s splashback.

Mirrors

Metro Glass mirrors are made from of the highest quality glass, treated with a silver backing and then paint coated for durability and resistance to chemicals, they are corrosion resistant (copper free). They can be made specifically for your requirements, for locations such as bathroom, wardrobes and living room mirrors. Using hi-tech specialised machinery, we can create a huge variety of mirror design shapes, with a choice of polished edges, decorative bevels or straight-edging.

Internal Glass Partitions

Transform your living areas with the versatility of sliding doors and internal glass partitions. These solutions let you easily adapt your space to suit your needs, using the unique aesthetic properties of glass to elevate the look of your cavity sliders and dividing walls. Choose from translucent, colored, or digitally etched designs to add a stunning visual appeal. For commercial applications, glazing channels provide a sleek and practical method for installing glass panels. They’re ideal for bath and shower screens, internal partitions, commercial facades, shop fronts, and infill balustrades, offering a seamless and modern finish to any space.

Glass Canopies

Bespoke frameless glass canopies provide strength, light, and protection from the elements. All of our systems are designed and engineered in New Zealand by Metro’s Engineering Department. A glass canopy provides an attractive and practical feature to any commercial or residential project. The contrast between the old and the new, and the crisp, clean lines look very contemporary. Often placed outside entrance doors, a canopy protects people entering the building. But they certainly are not limited to front doors; canopies over deck areas keep the weather away from the doors, allowing protection from the elements and natural light through to the entrance area.

Floors & Stairs

Glass allows light to flow through stairs, creating an airy and luxurious space. As natural light permeates the space through the glass, it produces different moods and can form a seamless transition between rooms. Glass can also be lit from beneath, or edge-lit with LED lights. Glass stairs and floors feature a slip-resistant surface pattern which, while adding safety, still allows light to travel through. We use laminated glass, which is made up of two or more panes of thick glass and provides a safer option in case of breakage (toughened glass is not used in single-glazed form because of its characteristics, but it can be used in the laminate, or as a sacrificial layer).
