My principal place of residence is in the Central Otago District Council Election area.
Central Otago needs proven, collaborative leadership to help keep our region progressive, innovative, and affordable.
I’m a wife, mum, former councillor and Police Constable, and proud to serve as your Mayor. I’m standing because I’m passionate about the people who call this place home and want to keep delivering positive outcomes across our district, so all generations can thrive, belong, and feel proud.
As our district grows, every decision must reflect respect for the past and responsibility to future generations. I’m focused on smart, sustainable growth: working with developers on community-led plans, investing in infrastructure aligned to demand, and protecting the character of our places.
I’ll support innovation, technology and partnerships to help boost council finances into the future. I’ll keep championing affordable housing and community spaces, while strengthening emergency response and rural support.
Your voice matters, and I'm here to commit with honesty, integrity, and with heart.

Hi I’m Mark and I retired to Central Otago in 2016.
I am single with 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. My career started with farming, gained qualifications and advanced through the business world for 35 years.
In the 1980s, I was employed by Brierley as their hatchet man in Canterbury. From their contracts came businesses wanting consultancy, analysis, overseeing their CEO’s, GM’s, or advising owners of all types of other businesses.
Restructuring and turning companies around is my speciality.
So much is wrong today and I would like to be a part of a new team where we turn things around.
I look forward to working with you.

My principal place of residence is in the Central Otago District Council Election area. I am also standing for Cromwell Ward.
I was born in Cromwell in 1957 and have spent most of my life here with my wife Jill. My grandfather once served as mayor of this town, and was one of the prime movers involved in the Power scheme at the Roaring Meg, I am proud to carry that legacy forward with a deep belief that Central Otago needs strong leadership and clear direction.
I’ve been involved with businesses in Cromwell and Queenstown. I bring business acumen and common-sense thinking.
The cost of living here are making it nearly impossible for young families to stay here or our grand children to ever afford a home in the place they grew up.
Central Otago deserves better.
