Kids Pace are focused on children learning in unhurried environments, where they are challenged to notice and be active participants in their world.

We pride ourselves on providing the quality of care parents expect as well as the loving and nurturing environments children need.

Kids Pace Education is a family owned Home Based childcare service based in Central Otago, and run by locals for locals.

Kids Pace provide warm and caring environments for children where they feel safe and supported to learn and explore at their pace.

The relationships that children form with their educator is vital for this sense of security, and this is achieved through having strong relationships with the child's whole whanau.

My name is Kate Smithies and I am the Managing Director for Kids Pace.

I graduated from Dunedin College of Education (Invercargill Campus) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Education Teaching. After teaching and living in Winton for 8 years we relocated to Alexandra where I first established Kids Pace.

We now have a variety home based educators based in Alexandra, Clyde, Gore, Edendale, Winton, Invercargill, Riversdale and Otatara to meet the demands for quality home based childcare.

Corrina Dawson is our Visiting teacher based in Wyndham and we both support the learning and development of children each month across Southland and Central Otago.

We both love being able to work from home and being able to provide that hands on support to families and Educators.

Kids Pace has always been a dream of mine and inspiring passionate children to strive for greatness is a dream come true.
