Founded in 1864, Monte Christo Winery is the birthplace of Central Otago wine.

Walk-in wine tastings are welcome, showcasing our limited-production wines, including our flagship Central Otago Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, alongside Pinot Gris and other regional styles.

Fritzy, our on-site food trailer, offers a seasonal menu designed to pair with our wines, from shareable small plates and charcuterie to pizzas, homemade ice cream, specialty coffee, and beer on tap.

The relaxed outdoor area features a covered bar, garden seating, a children’s play area, and a pétanque court - an ideal setting to enjoy time with family and friends.

Premium wine tasting experiences, including private tastings in our underground cellar and educational winery tours, are available by appointment.

We have three luxury guest cottages, offering the perfect retreat for couples, families and friends alike.
