Gary Kirk (Cromwell Community Board)

Gary Kirk (Cromwell Community Board)

I'm Gary Kirk. I've lived in Cromwell for ten years and I'm standing for the Cromwell Community Board.

I believe I have the right skills to take on this role as I have held many governance roles which include being a Southport NZ and Invercargill Airport Director, and a previous Chairman of Cromwell Community House.

My working life has included many years building and farming, owning and running a civil company and ten years as a real estate agent in Cromwell.

My priorities include,

  • Moving forward with Cromwell's town centre so it can cater for the needs of our growing town
  • With over a 1000 sections in the pipeline it's essential we have the infrastructure and services to support this growth.
  • I'm also concerned that all new subdivisions now have very narrow roads which suits the developers but not the new residents
