The lake behind the dam is on considerable size and is a well known but infrequently used fishing spot.

According to the locals, there are some very large trout in the lake and the head of the lake is the place to catch them. Access to the cache site is via Fraser Dam Rd. This road is classed as a dry weather road only and there will be months of the year that this will be very hard to access, if not impossible.
