Nestled in the heart of Central Otago, between the stunning mountain ranges, rivers and infamous Pass, you’ll find us just 15 minutes from Naseby. Dansey’s Pass Hotel is a historic pub with hotel accommodation built in 1862. We can offer facilities for wedding ceremonies, conferences, private functions and all occasions.

Dining Room

As the sun sets on our stunning scenery join us for dinner in the Hotel Dining Room. Our menu is packed full of fresh local produce carefully selected and prepared by our chefs. We have nightly specials, and our chefs are constantly creating new dishes throughout the

seasons. Signature cocktails, beverages, a cup of tea or freshly ground coffee are available at the bar. Lunch and dinner are served in the atmospheric ambiance.  

Accommodation

The well-appointed rooms feature country cottage themes with locally made country folk art. We recommend you consider staying several nights using the Danseys Pass Hotel as your home, from which to explore the historic localities of Naseby, St. Bathans, the Styx and

Ranfurly, the South Island art deco capital. We serve a Continental Breakfast for our guests each morning, if you have booked directly with us, it is complimentary. If you have been booked through a 3rd party agent or OTA, there may be an additional cost, we will be happy to confirm this with you at check in.

Weddings

You and your guests are welcome to Danseys Pass Hotel in any season, and a roaring hearth fire awaits arrivals in the traditional lounge. Say your vows in front of friends and family beside the old stone Kyeburn wall and capture the moment on camera out among the golden tussocks and manicured gardens. Commemorate the moment with a glass of champagne at the outdoor bar, then have your choice of a multi-course meal alfresco or in the fireside dining room. Take the celebration to the dancefloor with your choice of live music or a professional DJ. Our friendly and highly professional staff will attend to all the details, and the bride and groom can make special requests ahead of time to personalise the big event.
