Cromwell Community House

Cromwell Community House

5 Murray Terrace, Cromwell

We are open 09:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday.

Cromwell Community House is owned by the Central Otago District Council and is governed by five volunteer Trustees.

Cromwell Resource Centre Trust (CRCT) was established in 1997 as a charitable trust to provide a range of resources, information and facilitation services to individuals and community groups in the growing community of Cromwell and its surrounding district.

The Volunteer Driver Scheme helps to maintain community connections for those in need to ensure no one is isolated at home. The community service is open to all age groups and members of the public but used mainly by the elderly who are no longer able to drive, usually for medical appointments, or attending social or support group meetings in town and surrounding areas.

The service is managed by staff Co-ordinators and currently has a team of eight Volunteer Drivers supporting the service.

We co-ordinate referrals for the foodbank and act as a collection/distribution point.

Rooms for hire. We manage bookings for five consultation/meeting rooms. The rooms are available to hire. 42 different agencies currently operate from Cromwell Community House.
