Clyde Primary school is situated on the banks of the Mata-au River and has a roll of 150 - 170 students. There is a strong sense of community and the supportive environment makes it an awesome place to learn and grow.


Clyde School has experienced, dedicated and caring staff who are committed to supporting all students to achieve success. Learning programmes are child centred, authentic, purposeful and responsive to individual learning needs and students are provided with opportunities to work collaboratively, think critically, problem solve and manage their own learning. There is a strong focus on developing students' self-regulation skills.


The school's motto 'Akoranga mo ake ake: Learning for Life' aims to establish excellent foundation skills in literacy and numeracy to empower each individual to be connected, ambitious, respectful and enthusiastic members of our community. Alongside this the School has a rich EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) programme that provides numerous opportunities for students to step outside their comfort zone, build confidence, perseverance and develop resilience.


The importance of hauora / well-being is recognised and a holistic approach to education is encouraged whilst nurturing students physical, spiritual, social and emotional well-being.
