Great variety of scenery and an interesting road ride.

217 km of riding via State Highway 6. You can head straight to the West Coast via Hawea or detour into Wanaka for food, fuel or accommodation before heading ‘up the Coast’.  Rest stops with toilets are at Makarora, Blue Pools Walk, Cameron Flat (DoC Campsite) and Pleasant Flat (DoC Campsite). Once you get to Haast, you can continue up the West Coast, or return via the Haast Pass, the way you came.
