Our mission is to enrich people’s lives by establishing and supporting a friendship network with a focus on those who are socially isolated or at risk.

COFN services are free and open to people of all ages. We have a special focus on accessible social opportunities for those who may experience disability or those for whom transport is a real barrier to regular social interaction (we have a great team of volunteer drivers). 

The current facilitated groups are based mostly in Alexandra but our two other services are available across the Central Otago region. 

These include:

• Facilitated Social Activities (Groups, activities and events to help you connect with like-minded people) 
• Individual Friendship Support (Individual support from our coordinator to help you explore social opportunities in the community)
• 1:1 Friendship Service (Matching individuals with a community volunteer who shares similar interests for a 1:1 friendship)
