Central Otago's animal rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming centre.

Animal Rehab Central commonly known as ARC was established as a registered charity in 2020 to fill the void in Central Otago and surrounding areas, rehabilitating unwanted and abandoned animals.

Over the past 3 and a half years we have successfully rehomed over 350 animals, mainly Cats and Dogs.

We have the only purpose built facility in Central Otago where our rescue animals are housed and cared for in conjunction with the Central Otago Feline Boarding Lodge.

All our animals are health checked, fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, desexed and assessed before adoption where possible otherwise sent out with vouchers to cover procedures if they are young kittens or puppies.

We have a follow up service with our adoption dogs and provide 24 hr advice and in house training if required.

ARC provide the level of service that animals and the community should expect and deserve.

Animals: This includes (within our means):

• Provide animals with shelter, care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation before adoption.
• Provide safe and secure housing.
• Rehabilitate and rehome unwanted, neglected and/or discarded animals.
• Match animals to appropriate applicants.
• Provide quick access to animal advice and assistance.

Hours:

Monday to Saturday 8:30am - 10am / 4pm - 5:30pm

Sunday 3pm to 5pm
