Year 0 - Year 8

Alexandra Primary School is a full primary school made up of a Junior Hub - Te Pā o Maiora (Years 0-3) and a Senior Hub - Mata-Au te Mauri (Years 4-8).

The Teachers (kaiako), SENCO (Special Education Coordinator), LSC (Learning Support Coordinator) and Teacher Aides (kaiāwhina) work in a collaborative and creative way, always with the best intentions towards their learners. The school aims to nurture their people's sense of belonging and self worth with a focus on the core values of Respect, Responsibility and being Ready to Learn in which these values encourage a deeper understanding of their Māori interpretations of Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Whakatau te wairua.

The school has an open door policy and a belief of having strong relationships between students and teachers; teachers and family/whānau; and school and community encourages quality learning.
