Join mother–daughter duo Victoria and Emilie Bruce for an evening of stories from their new book Emilie Walks Te Araroa — the true tale of Emilie’s journey walking the length of Aotearoa at just seven years old.
Victoria and Emilie will talk about the making of both Emilie Walks Te Araroa and Victoria's first book Adventures with Emilie, as well as the journeys that followed: hundreds more kilometres through remote corners of New Zealand, more than 450 backcountry huts visited, and increasingly bold missions — from a 24-day wilderness traverse in Southwest Tasmania to rugged backcountry routes around New Zealand's South Island and even a winter ascent of Mt Philistine.
A heartwarming story of their 3,000km journey across Aotearoa, told through Emilie’s eyes. Full of adventure, resilience and laughs, this inspiring tale is perfect for tamariki, whānau, and anyone who loves the outdoors.
Join us for an evening of adventure and humour from the heart, of two trampers who continue to explore the backcountry with curiosity, resilience and joy. All welcome.
Books will be available for purchase and signing on the night via cash sales or bank transfer.
