Nature Talk: Threatened species recovery

Nature Talk: Threatened species recovery

Thu 26 Sep 2024, 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Venue: Wānaka Community Hub

Threatened Species Recovery in the Wānaka Area - A public talk by Sarah Forder.

Mt Aspiring National Park is home to a suite of taonga (treasured) species, braving the cold of winter and West Coast rain.

One of these species is humans; people who volunteer their time to ensure that endemic wildlife hangs on and species that were lost can return.

Sarah will talk about some of the work that has been done locally and future directions in species conservation.

Wanaka Backyard Trapping, Forest & Bird and Southern Lakes Sanctuary invite you along to the third event in the 2024 Nature Talks series.

Entry by donation. No bookings.
