It’s Ground Up’s 9th birthday and it’s all about you! 

Birthdays are better when celebrated with friends, and Wānaka you’re the best!

We wanted to thank you, no matter where or when you took your first sip of our Alpine Start oatmeal stout, or maybe it was the Punks in the Gym IPA, or even our Kiwi pale ale or the delicious Crush lager or… (ah, I could list all 22 beers but we’d be here a while)…Wānaka. Your support and passion for local businesses has always meant a lot to us.

So let’s celebrate!!

We’re starting your weekend in style, and gearing up for the Wānaka Beer Festival!

Our party starts at 4pm, Friday December 6th, with food and drink specials, live DJs and there may even be a birthday cake!

We will also be putting on a raffle with ticket proceeds being donated to our local Search and Rescue operations.

Finally, no party is complete without some friendly competition! We will also be hosting a cornhole competition with prizes and the first ever very historical, legendary and not at all homemade Ground Up Competition Trophy!

It’s the perfect way to finish off the week and get pumped for the Wanaka Beer Fest! And heck, if you haven’t tried one of our beers yet, this might be the perfect opportunity.
