About Katherine Buess

Katherine Buess is an Invercargill-based artist working in printmaking, mixed media, and paper sculpture.

She graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts (honours) from Otago Polytechnic School of Art in 1992.

Her extensive Pacific work includes rehabilitation art programmes in Vanuatu prisons, mentoring artists in Timor-Leste, and coordinating community art projects across the islands.

Her work has been exhibited in New Zealand, Japan, USA, and Vanuatu.
