Megan Huffadine, local Central Otago Artist has her latest exhibition "I'm Fed up with Mysogyny" in the Heafey Gallery at Central Stories.

This exhibition will be on from 14th May to 16th June.

What is misogyny?

It is the hatred or prejudice and discrimination against women and girls.

It can also refer to social systems and environments where women face hostility and hatred and ….. I’m fed up with it.

This exhibition has been an opportunity to explore painting approaches in response to an idea.

It is a reply to the vitriol expressed towards women particularly through social media.

Everyone loses through misogyny.

Misogyny sets limits on thinking, behavior and aspirations across all ages and gender identities.

These works refer to ancient images of goddesses and present gentle-men.
