Get into the festive spirit with two special late night shopping events at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery this Christmas season!

• Friday 28th November and
• Friday 19th December

when we'll be open extended hours from 10am right through until 8pm, giving you the perfect opportunity to browse our wonderful collection of local artisan goods in a relaxed evening atmosphere.

Visit Santa's Grotto

Santa will be making special appearances on both evenings from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in his grotto, complete with a photographer to capture those precious Christmas memories with the kids.

Christmas Activities for Children

We'll have plenty of festive activities to keep the little ones entertained, including:

• Making Christmas cards
• Creating Christmas tree decorations
• Writing letters to Santa
• A fun clue hunt through the museum about Santa's reindeer
• And more exciting crafts!

Our shop is brimming with beautiful locally-made and locally-sourced products, perfect for finding that special gift or treating yourself.

• Food & Treats: Local jams, honey, peanut brittle, spice mixes, and on both nights, we'll have delicious imported French and Italian cheeses available

• Art & Crafts: Browse our two art galleries filled with works available for purchase, plus local art prints, pottery, wooden bowls, boxes and platters, and handcrafted jewellery
• Unique Gifts: Cards, wallets, tote bags, coasters, magnets, pens, postcards, New Zealand gift boxes, aprons, notepads, and so much more

Special on 19th December

On our second late night, we'll also have local Central Otago wine available for purchase along with fresh locally-grown cherries – perfect for your Christmas table!
